Acme Certification Requirements
Overview
General Inspector:
Education: Minimum Associate Arts with five years related field
experience which must include three hundred and fifty homes inspected and a
diploma or degree from a nationally accredited educational institution with a
major in Home Inspection or related field. Prior certification from other
organizations such as California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA) or
the American
Society of Home Inspectors
may be substituted for a degree or diploma from a nationally accredited
educational institution. However, prior
certification does not ensure certification by Acme Business Services. Minimum formal education may not be
substituted. Must be bonded.

Home Inspection or related field. Prior certification from other organizations
such as California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA) or the American Society
of Home Inspectors, (ASHI) may be
substituted for a degree or diploma from a nationally accredited educational
institution. However, prior
certification does not ensure Certification by Acme Business Services. Minimum of formal education may not be
substituted. Must be bonded.
Same as for Inspector but has not yet inspected two hundred homes. Assistant Inspector may inspect homes for Acme Home Inspection Service. All inspection reports must be co-signed by an inspector.
Education: Minimum Associate of Arts and a diploma or degree from a
nationally accredited educational institution with a major in Home Inspection
or related field. Inspector in Training is not allowed
to sign off on any inspection.
After accompanying a Certified Inspector for one hundred inspection
Inspector in Training will be certified an Assistant Inspector if all other
qualifications are meet. Must be bonded.
The Board of Directors of Acme Business
Services grants certification.
